Melanie is an amazing dog sitter. I was nervous about leaving my dog with anyone because she was recently diagnosed with glaucoma and needs eye drops. Melanie’s background with shy and anxious/nervous dogs immediately appealed to me because my rescue dog can be nervous as well.
Melanie came over ahead of the booked dates to watch me administer eye drops to my dog, in addition to a regular meet & greet. She also recorded herself giving eye drops to Rosie so I could see it was successful! She really put my mind at ease. And she was even better at giving the eye drops than I was, so I learned some tips from her about how to make it less stressful for my dog. Melanie has a real gift with dogs!
Melanie is an excellent and timely communicator. I never had to wonder how things were going with Rosie or when Melanie would arrive to my house. She sent frequent picture updates to let me know that Rosie was doing well.
Melanie is also a thoughtful and considerate house guest. My home looked exactly like I left it.
It has been a huge relief to find Melanie after my previous dog sitter moved away. She has been extremely professional, thoughtful, and best of all–a great caretaker for my special needs rescue dog.
